Image Submissions

How many photographs can I enter into the same series?

A series consists of at least 3 and no more than 10 photographs sharing a common concept or aesthetic, and a single title. Make sure your series images work together, each series will be judged as a whole. It is recommended that the series be accompanied by a text that complements the images. You may enter the same series into as many categories as want. Additional fee will be applied.

A single consists in one individual image, and you may enter the same image into as many categories as want. Additional fee will be applied.

Are there specific naming requirement?

Name your series with your series title and number the images in the order you want them to be displayed. For example: Alpine Forest-01

Name your single images with your name and surname and image title. Example: Alpine Forest

Can I enter a series or single that won other competitions?
Yes, series or images that have won prizes in other competitions or that have been submitted to other competitions currently underway are eligible.
Can I enter an image that has been published?
Yes, both published and unpublished work is accepted.
Do you accept digitally manipulated images?

Post-production and digital manipulation is allowed, the integrity and subject matter must be kept. In the Open Theme category, any type of photo editing, manipulation or creation is acceptable.

Is there a time limit on when the photograph was taken?
There are no restrictions on the date of a photograph.
Can I submit my images via e-mail, as prints or CDs, PDF in the mail?
We only accept digital submissions via our website.
Who will own the rights to the photographs submitted to IPAA?

All entrants retain the copyright of all submitted images.

By entering the IPAA competition you give permission to IPAA and its partners a non-excluive, royalty free licence to use and publish the images for any purposes in relation with the IPAA competition. This includes but not limited to: display on the IPAA website and partner websites in relation to promoting and advertising the competition; social media platofrms and its supporters platforms; use in marketing and communications purposes, including but limited to email marketing, print adertising.

The IPAA will always credit the entrant’s full name in connection with the images on any associated usage with the IPAA competition.

I just registered. Where is my activation email?

Check your Spam or Junk Mail folder. If you are using a public service like gmail or hotmail then please try a different email address if possible. If you are still experiencing problems then please contact us.

How do I enter?

Create your online profile here, once activated via email you can login and select your entry category and upload your images and pay entry fees. Your entry is submitted when entry fees are paid. You will receive an entry confirmation e-mail upon payment of entry fees.

How can I pay my entry fees?
You can pay by PayPal or Credit/Debit card through PayPal.
Can I make changes to my entry after I have Paid?
No, after payment has been made, entries cannot be edited.
Can I get a refund?
No. Entry fees are non-refundable.
